You don’t take vacations from sports, you enjoy a triple dose of excitement, and on top of that, you want to gain new experiences? If you’ve ever thought like that, you can’t miss out on Gdańsk during the World University Triathlon Championships. Become a volunteer and help create an amazing spectacle.

At the end of the summer, the cream of the crop of iron-willed students will come to Poland to compete for medals in the World University Triathlon Championships. The competition will take place in Gdańsk on August 30th and 31st, featuring sprint format (750m swimming, 20km cycling, and 5km running) as well as relay races.

Not everyone can compete in this demanding event, but everyone can contribute to organizing the event. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old, and international volunteers must be at least 18. Their tasks will include taking care of the teams arriving in Poland, managing the competition office and accreditations, as well as logistics and assistance in managing social media. Everyone will surely find something for themselves. Applications are accepted until June 30th.

  • Volunteering can be an opportunity to acquire new skills, take a break from daily duties, but also to see sporting events from a different perspective. It’s also a chance to meet interesting people. Many of them invest their free time and bring their experience from various other events. They are the true heroes of many events. Everyone can give it a try – said Marianna Pikul from the Academic Sports Association, coordinator of volunteer programs.

The volunteer program during the World University Championships will run from August 26th to September 1st. Organizers provide training, attire, gadgets, certificates, insurance, additional attractions, and accommodation for those from outside Gdańsk, as well as full-day meals.
